This is it, we have just over 24hrs left in Japan. It had to happen the dream needed to come to an end, but before it does we need to embark on a Japanese journey of discovery and tradition…Kareoke and Shochu.
Meeting up in the bright lights of Shibuya one last time for our planned Kareoke date with Saiko (who just happened to bring her professional singer/boyfriend Tommy with her), and feeling a bit stone cold…its takes a few downers to get up the courage to sing (surprisingly I know!), especially after Tommy sings the first song and blows us all away.
But, its one of those things you just have to get stuck in – on all accounts, and we did!! Favorite song of the night Love Shack, Saikos choice, that seemed to go on and on and on, which I actually have that moment on video, that you all will never see – Sorry ;( Although our version of it is hilarious, its one of those “What happens in Tokyo, stays in Tokyo” moments.
Thank you, thank you, thank you so much, Saiko and Tommy for a fitting Syonara to our Japan leg. Thank you also Saiko for dancing with me down at the big crossing, and id like to send out a special thanks to the taxi driver who let me drum a beat while singing on his bonnet, waiting at the lights while he tapped on his steering wheel with a very BIG appreciating smile – YUP, this aint London…this is a city with a high vibration ,and a shit load of really good Shochu!
Japan is made up of a lot of things mixed up into one perfect experience of joy for me…and YES, I did find that blue wig – HURRAY!
Next stop Cook Islands!
