Japan - Kyoto and The trip to the Hospital – 1st October

So a pinch and a punch for the first of the month, and speaking of punches…

So the good news is – I saw an advert on tv last night for my “travel socks”  (in shades of mauve), and they are actually “shape your legs while you sleep” socks (well they were doing a lot of admiring of there legs in the morning, so im assuming that’s what the socks are for?!), and I would like to say that after 3 nights together, im also admiring my legs – they actually look like my ankles/feet again, so that’s a positive 🙂

The bad news – is that yesterday morning I woke up looking like this…

…yes it looks, and feels like ive gone a few rounds with Ali, and then turned into ANPANMAN…my entire head swelled (I knew this because my hat wouldnt fit), and I got a full body rash – it would seem im having an allergic reaction to something ive eaten – hmmm possibly, maybe shellfish?!  After taking an antihistamine, and grabbing my not so subtle pair of baby blue Ray-bans, we headed (guided more like, but without the dog) onto the train/s heading to Kyoto.

Arriving in Kyoto, we head to our Capsule Ryokan Inn in the middle of Kyoto – Kawaii, and not forgetting Tessas birthday, we bruttally murder HAPPY BIRTHDAY (Stevie Wonder version) down the phone before taking it easy for the night.

This morning I wake up, and its not got any better.  My eyes are more open than yesterday, but im itchy all over, and its quite a visable dry looking rash.  Im really irratated (and you can imagine how well thats going down), SO we head down to the local hospital where we charade my symptoms to any/and everyone we come into contact with.  I get to see a dermatologist, a doctor and 4 assistants, before one of the lovely assistants takes me down the road to show me where I can get my perscription – sweet! – dont ask the price!

We were in and out in 2 hours, and each section they would pull out a laminate with english words on it saying – TAKE CARE – I love Japan!

Were on the pills from tonight, and ive got 7 magic/expenisive pills that are going to change my life…lets hope we get to see some shrines tomorrow!
