30th June – what seemed like a long 2 flights before arriving this afternoon, and promptly crashing out as soon as we got to our room at “Jollyboy’s Backpackers”. Were in Zambia!!
Made friends already with a 7 year old future card shark, on the Zambia bound plane, who thought he was bedazzling me with his fast hands (I let him win a few rounds like a good adult should, until we started playing for money), and beat Dean by 2 points in travel Pictionary (gifted by Tessa – thanks T). D reckons you can’t play with just two people(we made new rules) but I think he’s still smarting from my ability to ace him with my drawing skills, and needle sharp vivid imagination for guessing basic stick drawings!
I’m feeling quite numb (probably tiredness more so), which is a good thing, as most of yesterday afternoon was spent packing my bag at speed (no surprise there) and bursting into tears randomly hugging Dean/Tessa/Shefali/Haka – god dam emotions!!!
